WTA best points on clay-courts of 2021

The WTA season ended with Garbine Muguruza’s victory at the WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Mexico. The protagonists were many, with many surprises and unexpected victories, such as backs and confirmations.

In January, before mental health problems, depression and all that followed, Naomi Osaka won her 4th Slam at the Australian Open 2021. In June, a sensational surprise: Barbora Krejcivoca won the Roland Garros, while in the summer, Ashleigh first Barty won Wimbledon, then Belinda Bencic took the gold medal in Tokyo 2021.

The most sensational surprise, however, was the victory of Emma Raducano at the US Open, starting from the qualifiers, at only 18 years old. Incredible. Serena Williams, on the other hand, after her injury in the first round at Wimbledon, withdrawed until the end of the season, and she is expected to return after the 2022 Australian Open.
