We are getting closer to the beginning of the LIV Golf series. The tournament starts on June 30 and will last until July 2. Many are critical of the new tournament and believe that this will destroy the essence of golf.
Still, Greg Norman and the team are ready for what they have been waiting for, and after a long fight, the tournament will begin.
Several big names have decided to perform at LIV Golf such as: Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau as well as Brooks Koepka. However, now there are three new names: Matthew Wolff is one of them, and great expectations will be from him. In addition to Wolff, there are Carlos Ortiz and Eugenio Chacarra. Greg Norman is happy because they decided on this move, and he is especially glad because he will have two great talents on the roster.
“Our impressive roster of LIV golfers continues to grow with incredible young talent and international stars,” said Greg Norman, CEO and Commissioner of LIV Golf for golfmonthly.
“Matthew Wolff and Eugenio Chacarra have both made a name for themselves as two of golf’s most promising talents, exhibiting impressive success at an early age.
Carlos Ortiz and LIV Golf
He is also happy about the arrival of Carlos Ortiz and a great tournament awaits us. It will be interesting to watch this tournament and we hope that there will be no incidents.
“I’m eager to watch them play alongside Carlos Ortiz, one of Mexico’s most consistent pros who along with many of our other golfers represents LIV Golf’s continued commitment to growing the game on a global scale.
“LIV Golf is providing new opportunities for the best players in the world to compete, and our field in Portland reflects that. We can’t wait to kick off our first U.S. event with these incredible golfers.”
