Since the advent of the pandemic and Covid-19, Stefanos Tsitsipas has partially slowed down with the progress within this sport. He is one of the most talented players on the Tour but in this 2022 he has found many difficulties.
The tennis player struggled a lot but continues to remain in the world Top Ten and has released an interesting interview in the last few hours. Here are the words of him specifically:
“Living with the pandemic? I am now used to living in this way, at first it was not easy but given what has happened in recent years we certainly cannot complain. In the end I try to behave in the same way as before the pandemic and I try to think only about playing.
The problems of the pandemic? We have a lot of restrictions and we have to do a lot of testing. But as I said we are privileged, we have the opportunity to travel the world and play tennis at the same time. Social networks? I think you need to take a break from social media and I have been using them very rarely lately.
They are now customary for all boys but they should find a balance and not stay attached to the phone or computer all day. The ATP titles? I am only 23 years old, I have won ten titles and I hope to win many more, above all I hope they are Grand Slam titles. In the end, I didn’t win many tournaments because I always played important tournaments and therefore I think ten titles are enough.”
Stefanos Tsitsipas: “Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are the best”
The Greek tennis player then dealt with current tennis, talking about both the Big Three and the new and young talents of the Tour: “I think we are now getting closer to the Big Three.
Djokovic, Federer and Nadal have formed the best generation of tennis players in the history of this sport and it is not easy to replace them. However, I believe that playing with them has helped us grow and reach an adequate level.
Without them it would have been different but I think Djokovic and Nadal above all can still win titles. Young people? I think Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have something more than everyone else but there are many interesting young people on the circuit and tennis has a great future.”
