On 7 and 8 May 2022 for the first time in Sardinia there will be a spectacular event, unique of its kind: a golf competition in the splendid La Cinta beach of San Teodoro in the province of Sassari. 12 holes are available along the beach bathed by a crystalline and limpid sea, not far from the Puntaldìa golf course. Aim for the players, to spend a day outdoors, surrounded by unspoiled nature and live an unforgettable experience in the practice of golf. The “Golf Links Invitational” event conceived by Roberto Pompei, head professional of the Puntaldia Golf club and sporting director of the Asd Golfaldia is sponsored by the Municipality of San Teodoro. The competition will take place over two days, on 7 and 8 May, but as early as Friday it will be possible to familiarize yourself with the route created for the occasion.
During the three days of the event, thanks to the support of the Italian Golf Federation of Sardinia, an inflatable ball will be installed at the entrance to the beach of La Cinta, which will allow all those who wish to try their hand at the sport. Furthermore, to accompany the event, the Puntaldia golf driving range will be transformed into the village “Hospitality. Roberto Pompei explains:” Our intent is to bring an ever wider audience closer to the world of golf. ” with the formula “Individual Stableford: on Saturday 7 May 18 holes will be played on the Puntaldia Golf Club course, while on Sunday 8 May the competition course will wind along the” La Cinta “beach. The award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday 8 May at the end of the tournament.
