The 2021 Rolex Annika Major Award goes to Patty Tavatanakit as the player who most distinguished herself in the five Grand Slam events of the women’s golf season.
Patty Tavatanakit, the award
Not only the triumph at the ANA Inspiration but also the fifth place at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the seventh at the AIG Women’s Open. The 21-year-old Thai joins Michelle Wie West (2014), Inbee Park (2015), Lydia Ko (2016), So Yeon Ryu (2017), Ariya Jutanugarn (2018) and Jin Young Ko (2019) as the winner of the award that it will be delivered to the CME Group Tour Championship, the last act of the LPGA Tour 2021 scheduled in Naples, Florida, in November.
A great achievement for the proette from Bangkok who did better even than the number 1 in the world (and gold medal at the Tokyo Games), the American Nelly Korda in the Majors. And for her now a coveted recognition, not awarded – due to Covid – in 2020. After Jutanugarn she is the second Thai to win the Rolex Annika Major Award.

One of the teams will also be captained by none other than multi-Platinum selling and three-time GRAMMY Award-winning country artist, Darius Rucker.
“The Solheim Cup is a prestigious event that I always enjoy watching as a fan of great golf,” said Rucker. “I’m honored to be on the same course as these talented players and can’t wait for some friendly competition in the celebrity match!”.
