Novak Djokovic visits Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine

Novak Djokovic returned to Serbia following the Davis Cup Finals exit and on Tuesday he visited the Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine.

Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine director Goran Bojovic was delighted to host 20-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.

“Like Novak, we promote a healthy lifestyle every day through physical activity and a healthy diet. In addition, we provide professional support to organizations in sports, monitor and apply the latest professional and scientific achievements, participating in decision-making in the field of sports at the state level. In order for today’s athletes to win titles, medals and victories, a great desire, willingness to sacrifice and personal enthusiasm are not enough. They need a complete support system, which will enable them to grow to the level of a champion such as Novak Djokovic. The Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine of the RS is a reliable refuge for Serbian athletes, a modern research and development institution, whose goal is professional support to the system of sports and recreation in Serbia,” Bojovic said, as quoted on Blic.

Djokovic to play the ATP Cup

On Tuesday, it was announced that Djokovic will play the ATP Cup.

Last week, Djokovic declined to give any details regarding his Australian Open participation.

However, signing up for the ATP Cup is a good indication that Djokovic will play the Australian Open.

“I understand you want some answers on where I start the season, how I start it. I’m really, really tired from this season and this whole year, so I just prefer sticking to the family quality time, rehab mode, then let’s see what the future brings,” Djokovic said after Serbia’s Davis Cup Finals exit.

“You will be informed. I know what you want. I’m not going to give you an answer tonight. I know what you want to ask me. But you will be informed. That’s all I can tell you. I cannot give you any date. Obviously Australia is around the corner, so you will know very soon.”
