Fifth place for Rafael Nadal at the Balearic absolute golf championship. At the Club de Golf Son Servera, in Spain, the Majorcan finished the competition – won by Marc Bisellach Servera – in fifth place with a score of 154 (+10) strokes. Good performance for the Iberian tennis player who once again showed his feeling with the “green”.

And now for the Manacor champion there is a much more important appointment to prepare: Wimbledon.
Forbes magazine estimated Nadal’s earnings due to sponsors at $ 25 million in 2011, making him the 16th highest paid sportsman in the world. The Spaniard is also ranked fifth most influential sportsman in the world in the Bloomberg agency rankings, based on his popularity and audience attendance at his games. The tennis player is a world ambassador for Kia Motors, and has repeatedly appeared in their advertisements. Nadal also has a sponsorship deal with Universal DVD.
Nadal’s clothing and shoe sponsor is Nike; his name featured a line of tank tops paired with capri pants. For the 2009 season, Nadal has adopted a more classic clothing on the tennis courts, also because it is encouraged by Nike. The company believed that an update of its appearance was a must, in order to better reflect its status as number 1 in the world, and to associate Spanish with a style that, although less unique than the previous one, “pirate”, could have been more easily imitated by consumers. At the Abu Dhabi and Doha tournaments, Nadal participated wearing a polo shirt specially designed for him by Nike, along with shorts cut above the knee. This style has been adopted since the 2009 Australian Open. Nadal wears the Nike Air CourtBallistec 3.3 shoes, often changing models over the course of the season, but which have in common the nickname “Rafa” written on the back of the right shoe, and the stylized logo of the bull on the left one.
In 2010, luxury watchmaker Richard Mille announced that he had developed a new ultra-light wristwatch in collaboration with Nadal, called the Richard Mille RM027 Tourbillon. Made of titanium and lithium, it is valued at $ 525,000. The tennis player has been involved in the design and testing of the watch, and has worn it in all tournaments since Roland Garros 2010, as required by a sponsorship deal. Starting from 2011, the Spaniard is chosen by Giorgio Armani as world testimonial for the Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans lines. In the same year it also signed a three-year contract with Bacardi for a campaign on responsible drinking called Champions drink responsibly; the company created a new non-alcoholic drink for this, the Rafa Berry Smash. In June 2012 Nadal became a PokerStars online room ambassador, and participates in advertising campaigns and charity events as a member of Team PokerStars SportStars, alongside other sports names such as Gianluigi Buffon and Boris Becker.
