World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has renewed his partnership with Lacoste through 2025.
Djokovic, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, teamed up with Lacoste in 2017.
“Novak is not only an exceptional athlete but also one of those great champions who has a wonderful spirit both on and off the court,” said Lacoste CEO, Thierry Guibert, in a release. “Our meeting in 2017 was a real coup de coeur. His audacity, tenacity and kindness impressed me and I am proud that we can continue our common adventure together and accompany him in his new challenges.”
Djokovic happy to renew his partnership with Lacoste
“I have a real connection with Thierry Guibert. We talk regularly and I’ve felt his support at each key moment of my career. He even connects with my fan club on social media. It’s quite incredible to see all these different people around the world get together to give me their support.”
Meanwhile, Djokovic is preparing to kick off his US Open campaign.
Djokovic hasn’t lost a match at the Grand Slam level this year and he is determined to win the US Open and capture a Calendar Grand Slam.
Recently, former world No. 7 Marion Bartoli said she absolutely believes Djokovic will win the US Open.
“I would not understand if we do not place him as a big favourite,” Batolid told Tennis Majors. “For me he is the big favourite. It’s a little easier. He has a day off between each match, he has time to think about each victory, he has time to rest before the next game. I think the Grand Slams are definitely playing in favour of Novak Djokovic. He will try to win a 21st Grand Slam title and be the first to reach this level. I think his motivation will be at its peak and he has the game to win on hard, he has proven it time and time again. To be honest, I can’t see him failing to win the US Open.”
