American radio and television personality Howard Stern went on a expletive-filled rant when asked about Novak Djokovic’s vaccine stance.
Stern, who is also a comedian and an author, said Djokovic should be thrown out of tennis.
“The joker, I call him the joker, what a f—— a——,” Stern said on his Sirius XM show, as quoted on Yahoo Sports. “They should throw him right the f— out of tennis. That’s it. Goodbye.”
Saying “getting vaccinated is a private decision” is “like saying smoking is a private decision,” said Stern. “Well, that’s true. But don’t smoke in my face, f——. What a dummy. Just a big dumb tennis player.”
Djokovic won his case in court
After landing in Melbourne, Djokovic had his visa revoked and he was placed in detention.
Djokovic spent a few days in an immigration hotel before he appeared in front of the judge on Monday.
The judge ruled in Djokovic’s favor as the visa of the world No. 1 was reinstated.
After Djokovic won his case in court, his father Srdjan claimed the Australian authorities “tried to pursuade Djokovic to sign his visa revocation.”
“Thank you to everyone in the world that has been fighting for the freedom of speech. Various things have happened, and it’s been difficult but he’s extremely strong mentally. He always tried to help, kept a good behaviour,” Srdjan said.
“The last game have been played the past 5 days. Let him now play the game he’s the best in the world at. They took away his rights. They attempted to persuade him to sign his visa revocation. He refused to because there was no reason.
“He was alone with them for several hours, without a phone. He finally had his phone back and could contact his legal team who made a very good work. We respect the law and rules of every country where we go.”
