No. 1 seeds Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski have won the Melbourne Summer Set doubles title.
Koolhor and Skupski, who formed a team for the 2022 season, beat Aleksandr Nedovyesov and Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi 6-4 6-4 to win title in their first tournament as a pair.
Koolhof and Skupski earned the first break of the match in the fifth game but got broken back in the following game.
However, Koolhof and Skupski kept their focus as they earned another break in the seventh game, before serving out for the opener in the 10th game.
After losing the first set, Nedovyesov and Qureshi made a positive start to the second set as they broke Koolhof and Skupski in the fourth game.
However, Nedovyesov and Qureshi’s lead was short-lived as Koolhof and Skupski claimed breaks in the fifth and ninth game to overturn the deficit and book a straight-set win.

Elsewhere, Rohan Bopanna and Ramkumar Ramanathan stunned No. 1 seeds Ivan and Marcelo Melo 7-6 (6) 6-1 for the Adelaide doubles title.
Bopanna and Ramanathan saved a break point in the second game, two break points in the eighth game and a set point in the 12th game before realizing their second set point in the tie-break to steal the opener
After winning a tight first set, Bopanna and Ramanathan broke Dodig and Melo twice to book a straight-set win.
Like Koolhof and Skuspki, Bopanna and Ramanathan also won title on their team debut.
Meanwhile in the Adelaide singles final, former world No. 6 Gael Monfils beat Karen Khachanov 6-4 6-4.
“I want to say thanks to my team,” Monfils said during the trophy ceremony. “We have had some tough moments, we lost a little bit of faith but we came back strong from July last year. It is amazing to play in front of you guys, to play in front of a full crowd with a good spirit and atmosphere, this is amazing.”
Monfils enjoyed his week in Adelaide.
“It is a great tournament,” Monfils added. “I have been training here since 2009. I know the place very well, I love Adelaide and am very happy to win the title here.”
