Aramco Team Series, playoff for Chiara Noja

Chiara Noja (68 70 65) won the Aramco Team Series – Jeddah, tournament of the Ladies European Tour, beating English Charley Hull (70 75 68) in the playoff after both had finished with a total of 203 (-13) strokes. At the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club (par 72) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, however, Virginia Elena Carta was also among the protagonists. The blue, in the lead after the first round and second after 36 holes, finished in fourth place with a score of 205 (67 69 69, -11) obtaining her best result of the season (previously she had reached eighth at the Big Green Egg Open). Virginia Elena Carta was preceded by Nicole Garcia, third with 204 (-12), while behind her were classified Bronte Law and Lee-Anne Pace, fifth with 206 (-10)

In addition to the individual competition, the team competition was also played, won with 259 (-29) strokes by the team of South African Nicole Garcia, with compatriot Cassandra Alexander, Czech Tereza Melecka and with the Moroccan amateur Sonia Bayahya. After finishing the 36 holes on par with Austrian Christine Wolf, Scottish Laura Beveridge, Virgin Islands Alexandra Swayne and Saudi amateur Raghdah Alessawi, she then prevailed in the playoffs.

Virginia Elena Carta was part of the team of the German Helen Tamy Kreuzer, together with the Swedish Lina Boqvist and the Saudi amateur Lujain Khalil who finished in third place with 260 (-28), flanked by Team Wikstrom. Also in this case it is the best team result of the season for the blue (eighth in the ATS-London). The three projects of the winning quartet each received $ 34,737 out of a total prize pool of $ 500,000.

Chiara Noja, 16 years old from Berlin, professional since 2021, has obtained a title and 10 other top ten on LET Access, where she took the ‘card’ for LET 2023 with the second place in the order of merit.
