Glasgow Clan have announced an agreement has been reached over the future of their home, Braehead Arena.
Since the arena and adjacent shopping centre fell into the hands of liquidators, the club have moved to secure the venue as their own and talks have been ongoing for a number of months.
And the news released that they have recommissioned the ice plant with a view to begin preparations for the new season will be a welcome one for their fans.
The statement on the website said: “Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce that following months of highly complex negotiations, an agreement has been reached relating to the future of Braehead Arena.
The agreement now allows for the recommissioning of the ice plant to get underway and ensure that ice is available as soon as possible for the Glasgow Clan, Paisley Pirates and all other ice users.
Supporters will have noticed that the majority of our 2021/22 roster is already in Scotland, with the remaining players joining us in the next 48 hours, ready to start training camp in Dumfries and Auchenharvie next week.
It’s now twenty months since we played our last home game and we are tremendously excited about being back in our home venue and playing in front of the Purple Army once again.
A further update regarding upcoming home games and game night ticketing will be made on Friday via ClanIHC.com and Clan socials.”
Clan are due to play their first game against Dundee Stars in an exhibition game on Wednesday 3rd November.
