Wizards star Bradley Beal re-enters COVID-19 protocols

The Washington Wizards will have to make do without their star player Bradley Beal once again as he has re-entered the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the team announced.

Beal, who was out for 11 days last month in protocols but is now vaccinated, missed the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and it’s unclear how long he will be sidelined.

Washington’s guard has had several encounters with COVID-19. He missed the Tokyo Olympics last summer after landing in the coronavirus protocols. Back then, he admitted to not being vaccinated for “personal reasons”.

This time around though, Beal received his vaccine last month and said that he did so because of his family.

Beal has been averaging 24 points and 6.4 assists per game so far this season.
