Vanja Marinkovic should be staying in EuroLeague after his departure from Valencia.
As Mozzart Sport reported and Eurohoops can confirm, Marinkovic is close to signing a contract with Baskonia for two seasons with an option for one more. The 24-year-old guard became a free agent after the completion of the 2020-21 season and he wasn’t included on ACB’s list of “Tanteo” players thus being completely free to choose his next destination in Spain.
Marinkovic spent two years with Valencia. In the previous season, he averaged 6.3 points in 14:23 minutes in EuroLeague, playing just 15 games due to a shoulder injury that kept him out for three months.
In ACB, Marinkovic had 8.5 points in 17:41 minutes over 11 games.
