Serge Ibaka underwent back surgery on Thursday, the Los Angeles Clippers announced.
Ibaka, 31, will miss the remainder of the NBA Playoffs. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The injury had kept him sidelined the past two weeks. The Congolese-Spanish big was held to just 41 Regular Season games and a couple of playoff appearances due to the lingering back issue.
As a starter in 39 out of his 41 outings, he posted 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks per Regular Season contest.
The Clippers are currently down, 2-0, in the Western Conference Semifinals best-of-seven series versus the Utah Jazz.
