Rafa Martinez will extend his third stint at Baxi Manresa into the 2021-22 season, as confirmed on Thursday. Eurohoops had reported on his decision for a 23rd season as a pro and also his first in the Basketball Champions League.
Martinez, 39, began his third stint at Manresa last season. He averaged 6.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per ACB appearance over 36 appearances in his 18th season in Spain’s top-tier division.
Manresa has also signed Chima Moneke, according to our own Chema de Lucas. The Spanish club was nearing a deal with the Nigerian/Australian forward, as reported by Eurohoops.
The buildup continues for the approaching BCL Regular Season. The Spanish team was recently drawn in Group B alongside Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Arged BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski.
