Partizan Belgrade signed guard Kevin Punter to a two-year contract, the club announced. According to sources, Punter joined the Serbian powerhouse on a three-million deal for the two years of his contract, which is the biggest deal ever in Serbian basketball.
Punter moves to Partizan after a standout EuroLeague season with Olimpia Milano. He led the Italian team in scoring with 14.3 points per game in the club’s first trip to the Final Four in 29 years and was also the leading scorer in a semifinal loss to Barcelona with 23 points.
The acquisition of Punter is a more than clear sign of Partizan’s huge ambitions (that include a EuroLeague return), especially after the club secured Zeljko Obradovic as head coach.
