Bayern Munich appears close to acquiring free-agent center Othello Hunter. According to a report by Israeli ONE, the German powerhouse is nearing a deal with the former EuroLeague champion who finished the season with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Hunter is expected to replace Jalen Reynolds who left Bayern to join Maccabi.
In 2020-21, Hunter averaged 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in EuroLeague. The American big man had 9.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Israeli Winner League regular season plus 6.0 points and 7.4 rebounds in the playoffs as the Maccabi won the title.
In 2019, Hunter became a EuroLeague champion with CSKA Moscow before moving to Maccabi. He previously played in EuroLeague with Montepaschi Siena, Olympiacos and Real Madrid.
