Maccabi Tel Aviv swept its quarterfinals matchup and is on a good path to do the same in the semis as well after grabbing an 88-72 home win against Hapoel Eilat in the Israeli League.
Omri Casspi was leading the charge with 17 points while Yovel Zoosman was right behind with 16 points. Ante Zizic scored 11 while Scottie Wilbekin had eight points and eight assists.
On the opposing side, Casey Prather scored 24 and Joe Ragland 14 points. Ragland also dished eight assists while Derek Ogbeide scored ten points.
Maccabi grabbed a total of 14 offensive boards compared to Hapoel’s six and that ended up being the crucial difference as the winning squad used those second chances to shoot a bunch of threes. And 12 of them went in to give them as much as a 19-point lead in the third quarter (57-38).
