Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams and Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups have entered NBA’s health and safety protocols for COVID-19, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Williams and Billups join fellow NBA head coaches Frank Vogel (Los Angeles Lakers) and Billy Donovan (Chicago Bulls) in the protocols. There have overall been six NBA head coaches entering the protocols since the 2021-22 season began with Sacramento Kings’ Alvin Gentry and Indiana Pacers’ Rick Carlisle getting sidelined for COVID-related reasons earlier in December.

The NBA is hit by a coronavirus wave with more than 100 players being currently in the league’s health and safety protocols.
