Metropolitans 92 ruins Mike James’ debut in French League

Metropolitans 92 leading comfortably the entire way secured the big win, 108-81, over AS Monaco in midweek Betclic Elite LNB Pro A action on Tuesday.

Among the seven players scoring in double-digits, Vince Hunter stood out with a team-high 16 points in the Regular Season Round 2 contest. Will Cummings posted a 14-point, 13-assist double-double, and Miralem Halilovic a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Recent La Roca Team acquisition, Mike James logged his first game played in the French League and fired a game-high 22 points in the heavy defeat. Both sides are now 1-1 at the domestic level.

Fellow French Turkish Airlines EuroLeague team, LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne upped its record to 2-0 by blowing out ESSM Le Portel, 94-69, on the road. Dylan Osetkowski registered a game-high 21 points and Round 1 hero Chris Jones threw in 19 more points.

Le Mans also got to 2-0 after the win, 86-75, versus Nanterre 92. Williams Narace and Kenny Baptiste shared a team-high 14 points. Dante Cunningham, a veteran of 736 NBA games, went for 13 points.

A 2-0 start for Chalons-Reims as well after the 105-84 victory over Roanne, behind Myke Henry contributing 22 points and Donte Grantham following with 19 points.
