Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has reached an agreement to extend the contract of captain Melih Mahmutoglu for two more seasons, the club officially announced Wednesday.
Mahmutoglu, 32, finished his ninth season overall with Fenerbahce with an average of 4.0 points, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists across 25 EuroLeague contests in 2021-22.
He joined the club for the 2013-14 season and has since served as the team’s captain for years, helping Fenerbahce win the 2017 EuroLeague title, as well as five Turkish BSL trophies and three Turkish Cups.
Earlier in the day, Fenerbahce also confirmed that they have parted ways with Jehyve Floyd.
