Long-time Fenerbahce Beko assistant, Erdem Can parted ways with the Turkish powerhouse via mutual agreement, the team announced Friday.
Can, 41, will head to the NBA, as noted in the press release. He is expected to join the staff of the Utah Jazz after multiple coaching stints in the Summer League with the team based in Salt Lake City.
The Turkish coach joined Fener in 2012. He has since mainly worked with head coach Zeljko Obradovic and last season Igor Kokoskov. Also, he took over head coaching duties in the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs as Kokoskov was sidelined.
His tenure at Fenerbahce was highlighted by the 2017 EuroLeague championship.
