Unicaja picked up David Kravish signing him to a contract for the next season with an option for one more season, the team announced Thursday.
Per the press release: “Unicaja Basketball has reached an agreement in principle with the American player David Kravish, center, 2.08 and 29 years old, who comes from Galatasaray, where this season he has played in the Turkish league and the BCL. The player has extensive experience in Europe, including Liga Endesa where he was part of Manresa three seasons ago. He is a mobile center who can bring energy in the fight for rebounds and blocks.”
Kravish, 29, will be back in Spain’s Liga Endesa after logging 21 games played in the ACB as a member of Baxi Manresa in 2019-20. He is likely to add on his Basketball Champions League experience as well with the team based in Malaga projected to be part of the Qualifiers leading to the Regular Season.
In 2021-22, the former California standout raised his total of BCL appearances to 39. He put up 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 0.5 steals per contest as Galatasaray Nef reached the Round of 16 but bowed out ranking below Hapoel U-NET Holon, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, and JDA Dijon in Group I.
His showings in Turkey’s BSL resulted into 9.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game over 30 appearances. After ranking third in the regular-season standings behind powerhouses Fenerbahce Beko and Anadolu Efes, Galatasaray went the distance against Efes in the Playoffs Semifinals but fell 3-2 in the best-of-five series.
