After a highly exciting opening week that featured many close games and a number of explosive performances, the Basketball Champions League action continues into Week 2 with a slightly looser schedule.
All 32 teams stepped on the court during the first week but going forward, until the closing Gameday, the teams will play every other week.
The Monday Game of the Week has been reserved for Filou Oostende and SIG Strasbourg as the Belgians try to bounce back from the loss to Tofas.
Speaking of Tofas, which had a pretty poor display on the domestic front against Darussafaka, the Turkish squad will host Kalev/Cramo which showed lots of character in the close loss to Strasbourg.
Three duels, in particular, might be the most interesting this week. The newcomer to the scene Prometery showed that they can play against the best in the nerve-wracking loss to Tenerife, and they will have a chance to prove their title aspirations against Ludwigsburg.
Igokea and Galatasaray will also clash following some great displays. Igokea managed to take down Crvena Zvezda in the ABA League just a few days ago while it’s safe to say that everybody wants to see if Galata’s Melo Trimble can repeat his 33-point performance from the previous week.
Hapoel Jerusalem fell to Pinar Karsiyaka and Bonzie Colson in the opener in the final seconds but the experienced team strengthened with former NBAers will have to find a way to recover in the upcoming clash against Manresa.
