Barcelona took down Fenerbahce after a big game by Laprovittola

Barcelona ended the winning streak of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul with an 81:80 win in Palau Blaugrana. Šarunas Jasikevičius’s team added their fourth win of the season (4-2), while Fenerbahce lost after a 5-0 start.

Nicolas Laprovittola had a great game with 26 points and seven assists.

Nikola Kalinić scored some important points in crucial moments of the match and ended up being the second scorer of the winning team with 14 points. Mike Tobey scored eight of his 13 points in the third quarter.

Jonathan Motley led the Turkish team with 23 points and eight rebounds, but only Marko Gudurić and Melih Mahmutoglu followed him with 11 points each.

With a 14-2 run in the middle of the third period, Barcelona took a 60-44 lead, but it wasn’t enough to put the game to bed.

Fenerbahce answered in the final period, cutting the lead to only two points in the final minute, but Barca fought off their great run thanks to Nikola Kalinić’s triple with 36 seconds to go.
